So, let's cut through the
crap - IF Romney hadn't paid income-taxes for the last 10 years, how is it that
he's managed to already release some? And IF he hadn't paid for the previous 10
years, wouldn't he be on a Past Due list like Warren Buffet and his company
Berkshire Hathaway is to the tune of over $1 Billion? The Romney Income Tax
issue is to the wacky left what the Obama Birth Certificate issue was to the
birthers on the wacky right - nothing but a feeble-minded distraction and it
only makes them look desperate. The American People are saying one thing and
one thing only - "It's the Economy, Stupid!!"
All we want to know is who has a first-hand working knowledge of business and the economy? Who has a history of building numerous successful businesses that have grown to employ over 100,000 people, among them Staples, Sports Authority, Gartner Group, etc.? Who is likely to create an environment that is not punitive to those we encourage to pursue the American Dream, rather than demonizing them when they do manage to become successful despite having to work through all of the regulation and red-tape as the current administration does?
A friend of mine asked on FB the other day how anyone who was gay could support a republican. My response is this: I myself am socially moderate and fiscally conservative, I don't care what you do, whether it be in your yard, your home or your bedroom as long as it doesn't infringe on my individual rights, liberties and freedoms - and YOU don't want to spend MY hard earned money to facilitate it. Many who are gay feel the same way. As do many who support abortion, leqalization of drugs, etc - Ever heard of Reagan Democrats?!?!
The bottom line is that people of all creeds, color, sexual preference, social position, etc. are waking up to the fact the we are quickly going bankrupt and all one has to do is look to the Euro-Zone, Greece, etc to see where out-of-control spending leads. Federal Deficit Spending TRIPLED in 2009 & 2010 as compared to ANY other year in the past 10 years and you're trying to tell us there is NO WHERE we can cut and that the only solution is to further tax the very people you're appealing to for job creation?!
Don't be distracted by all the petty crap the Obama Campaign will drag out over the next 3 months, and believe me, they will drag petty crap out - history says so. Just ask former opponents in any other race he's run in. All they know is dirty Chicago politics and what they don't realize is that MOST of the American People DESPISE CHICAGO STYLE POLITICS and his very strategy will be what drives his own demise. Maybe he'll surprise me - Maybe he'll kill all the attack ads (86% of what he's putting on the air now) - Maybe he'll run on his own record (like the biggest tax increase on the middle-class in the history of our country - the right called it what it was at the time of the debate and the SC confirmed it) - Maybe he'll outline a plan to accomplish all the failed promises of his first campaign and how he's going to get out of the way of businesses so they can create real jobs - But I'm not holding my breath.
